Mahogany is used as a generic name for a variety of similar woods generally having a reddish hue and a straight grain, we use two types, one to make sign frames, and the other to make solid backing boards and signs, as in the photograph.

This surface finish is the most commonly used for signs, it does not glare, take up finger marks or look out of place. (We sometimes do a dull polish, where the grain is a little finer).The other charactistics are already mentioned above under “Polished Stainless Steel 316”
